Shielded Anechoic Chamber Considerations white paper.png

A shielded enclosure, or shielded room, is a chamber or enclosure designed to create an area that is electromagneticaally quiet and pro- tected from outside influences, as well as contain electromagnetic ener- gy from escaping in an unwanted manner. These chambers are used for electromagnetic interference testing, Tempest and HIRF/EMP protection rooms and security offices, and MRI enclosures.

Designed to meet a wide variety of needs and applications, these cham- bers have many options which should be considered. When specifying a shielded enclosure, careful consideration of these aspects will assure a successful installation, meeting the needs of the company for many years.
