Satellite payloads incorporate multiple active and passive RF subsystems that must operate seamlessly across LEO, MEO, and GEO missions. To ensure these subsystems meet stringent orbital performance requirements and function reliably, comprehensive testing is required. In particular, both the uplink and downlink communication channels—including their complete RF chains and antennas—are to be thoroughly tested and verified.

This process ensures that the payload can transmit and receive signals with the expected quality, integrity, and robustness, guaranteeing mission success and long-term in-orbit reliability.

The MVG Planar Near-Field (PNF) systems are designed to support these needs by enabling the following measurements:

🗸Characterizing antenna radiation patterns (gain, beamwidth, sidelobes, nulls)
🗸Measuring transponder parameters (EIRP, SFD, G/T, G/F, GD, IMD)
